IF IT’S NOT ONE THING, IT’S YOUR MOTHER

 Meet mine.

This picture was taken years and years ago (I think I may even still be in my twenties – late twenties, but none-the-less). But I have to say, it is one of my all time favorites.

Silly me, I can not remember the occasion this was taken, but know it was around the holidays hence the pine branches behind us.  Mom, do you remember?  I of course totally remember the dress I am wearing.  It was an army green wool sheath.  I think it was Calvin Klein or Theory.  It had a tinge of Lycra in it so instead of being an old plain Jane shift dress, it hugged the curves perfectly.  My friend Susie Q had it too.  We wore it together one time to the same event – not planned and not something I recommend. But because it was us (she is one of my BFF’s) it was alright and we even were photographed together in it.  That photo is still proudly displayed at my Cape house and it too is one of my all time favorites.

Anyway, this is my way of telling you it is great to have your favorite photos, but just as important to take new and updated ones, although in both cases referenced here, years later we do look the same and I mean exactly.

So Mom, come this weekend all dressed up and with your “face on” (one of my Mom’s favorite expressions) and we will have our very own photo shoot.   Let Vogue and Bazaar start the bidding war now.

I love you Mom.  Happy Mother’s Day!

I waited until after Mom’s Day to address this comment. Had a wonderful Mom’s Day. I am very, very proud of you. Needless to say you are drop dead gorgeous, but that is just on the outside.
The inside is just as gorgeous, thoughtful and
considerate. Great cook also. Dinner was delicious, leftovers were just as good. Thank you
again for everything.
delicious.
